www.villagenewsletter.org is now no longer available

The transformation is complete. www.villagenewsletter.org is no longer there.. if you type in the address or have visited it lately, you will hopefully have been redirected automatically here. From now on all our village and parish news will be found here with village hall information, parish news and all the newsletters in one place.

It is also with regret, that I will no longer be involved with managing the site. I have thoroughly enjoyed receiving your news and updating the website for Mogs over the past 3 years, but have found my time so pushed with a full time job and a 3 year old that it is now time to hand the reins over.

Temporarily Andy Greenhalgh will be caretaking.. however, if there is anyone who would enjoy managing the Village Newsletter site moving forward then contact Andy who will be over the moon.

Take care all and so long…Laughing
Millie Green

Hinton Parva & Bishopstone in WW1 – an historical commemorative village website

Hinton Parva & Bishopstone in WW1

Lest We Forget …….

This website is part of a project by the villages of Hinton Parva and Bishopstone in Wiltshire to research and commemorate those village residents who fought in the Great War of 1914 – 18. Sixteen men did not survive, others returned scarred by their experiences, all deserve to be remembered.

Our aim is to have a detailed publication ready to mark the centenary of the start of World War One in August 1914 covering, amongst other things:

Life in the villages in the lead-up to hostilities
Biographies of our WW1 military residents
Their regimental experiences
1920 and beyond

For more information click on theĀ Hinton Parva & Bishopstone in WW1 website.

If you have any information, photos or artifacts to contribute, we would be delighted to hear from you.
